Fish and  Water 

          The Fishing seasons around  Cabo San Lucas are among the most interesting in Baja California , there is good reason for this. Baja California is located within the confluence  two large scale Pacific currents, the California current coming south of Alaska, and a warm tropical current coming up from Panama.

            From a global perspective, sea surface temperatures along the extreme edge of the Pacific Ocean tend to be compressed in a north-south direction off  Baja California. Right on Cabo San Lucas itself, an especially sharp temperature break  is created by the meeting of waters from the Pacific Ocean Sea of Cortez.

            The following chart provides information as to what the chances are of getting a particular fish in what months of the year, but as you well know, the fish and the water conditions have the last say on this.
